Easter Blessings to All

Today we received Easter greetings which included a  beautiful photo of Nadeah, our very first Siberian.  Nadeah now retired, lives in Michigan with Linda.

Nadeah March 2016

Linda says, “I’m including a picture of Nadeah perched on my mantle. One of her favorite spots on a sunny afternoon.”

We have nine little kittens who will be going to their forever homes within the next two weeks. Those families will experience the same joy as Linda, the joy of sharing their lives with a beautiful, loving Siberian!

To our children awaiting their kittens, we share a poem by Carleigh Kyrkby of Spokane, Washington. You won’t be receiving your kitten on Easter, but soon, very soon!

She only wanted a kitten

for Easter and nothing more.

Just a sweet baby cat,

to love and adore.

She didn’t want a basket,

filled up with Easter treats.

She didn’t want a new dress

and shoes to make the outfit complete.

She only asked for one thing

to make her every single day,

special and happy and wonderful

in every single way.

When she woke up Easter morning,

there was a huge basket by her door

filled with candy and colored eggs

and oh so much more.

There was a new pink dress

with shoes that matched so well,

plus a hat and pair of gloves

–to her feet, her heart fell

They must have forgot their promise,

she thought, forcing back tears

went to the church she held so dear.

When she returned home,

another basket appeared

and from within,

sweet mews she could hear.

A sweet little kitten

with eyes so blue

innocently looked up at her

and the world so new.

Her heart leaped up

and touched the sky

And lingered there awhile

in just one try!

She held him close,

the silky bundle of fur

and he began

to softly purr

Then she remembered

the sermon she just heard;

that when you pray

God hears every word.

Easter reminds us that hope must never be lost. As dark as the road may seem, glorious sunlight awaits if we believe.  May faith and God’s grace be with each of you and your families.

Happy Easter from Jim and Nancy
